Noura (“we,” “us”) runs the online store at thenoura.in. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using our store or placing an order, you agree to what is described here.
What we collect
When you order: your name, delivery address, phone number, email, and the details of what you bought. When you browse: standard usage data — pages viewed, device and browser type, and general location — collected through cookies and similar technologies. When you contact us: whatever you choose to share in your message. We do not collect or store your card or bank details — those go straight to our payment gateway (see Payments below).
Cookies
Cookies are small files that help the site work and help us understand how it is used — for example, keeping items in your cart and showing us which pages are popular. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the store may not work as smoothly if you do.
How we use it
To make and deliver your order, to answer your messages, to send order and delivery updates, to keep the store secure and prevent fraud, to meet our legal and tax obligations, and — only if you have signed up for it — to send occasional emails about new pieces. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for anything beyond what is described here.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make the store run, and only the information they need: Shopify, which hosts this store; our payment gateway, which processes your payment; our courier partners, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver; and the tools that send our emails and measure how the site is doing. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety. Each of these providers is bound to keep your information secure and use it only for the service they provide to us.
Payments
All online payments are handled by a secure, PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway. Your card details are entered directly with them — we never see or store them.
Shopify and where your information is stored
This store is hosted by Shopify, so information you submit here is transmitted to and stored on Shopify’s systems, which are located outside India. Shopify processes it to host and secure the store for us, under its own privacy terms — you can read those in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Where your information is transferred outside India, we rely on our providers’ contractual safeguards to keep it protected to the standard described in this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your order information for as long as needed to complete your order and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations — after which it is deleted or anonymised. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, except for anything we are legally required to retain.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable safeguards — including secure, encrypted connections and trusted providers — to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
Children
Our store is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will remove it.
Your rights and choices
You can write to us at any time to: see what information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask for a copy of it, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of every one. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request, to keep your information safe. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Grievances and contact
If you have a question or a concern about how we handle your data — or a grievance under Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — write to us at thenoura.insupport@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 7 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the relevant data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here with a fresh “last updated” date, so it is always easy to see what changed.

Our store may link to other sites — for example a payment page or a social media profile. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
